Question regarding how many new houses the Parish Council will allow in Hixon in  the period up to 2040 – has not been discussed. Lots of potential sites in Hixon  put forward by landowners in the SBC SHELAA  but not all will be allowed to be developed. –

009/21 Chair’s announcements
Chair has received a quote for the Back Lane bus shelter repointing. To be provided to Clerk and discussed at next meeting.
Chair also updated on the current situation regarding section 106 monies held by Stafford Borough Council (and Staffordshire County Council).
Chair suggested that Councillor allowance be used for making a donation to the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal – agreed, add to next agenda for ratification.		 Chair

Parish Councillor questions.
Cllr. Mrs S McKeown: Water run-off from PC car park is affecting Millennium Green footpath. Agreed to get price for 3 lengths of Aco drain fitted in front of the old gate. Clerk
Cllr Mrs C Murdoch:
Mess between the Co-op and houses, on site of proposed 2 new semis – Chair has written to landowner, no response yet.
Reinstatement of hedgerows on Stowe Lane and Lea Road: Clerk to write to Chief Executive re this situation.
High Street Footpath: SCC have been given all the required information by Co-op for the design to be approved – has been with Amey since December, no indication as to when Amey will look at the design.
Broadmoor Lane: smashed road sign has been left on the embankment. Clerk to contact Stowe by C PC

Cllr. Hopcroft: Scrap vehicles are being stored on land at the Airfield that does not have Planning Permission for this – Clerk to contact Planning. Clerk

040/20 Resolution Tracker: has been updated by Chair, some action points: Cllrs. McKeown to provide specification for laptop for Clerk’s use, to be purchased for use from April (budget £600), portacabin clearout on Saturday April 30th. Clerk
080/21 Tree survey update: Cllrs. Mrs S McKeown and Hopcroft together with a resident have made a note of the height/girth and location of all the trees on PC land.  Cllrs. 081/21 Planting sunflower seeds in support of Ukraine: it was agreed that sunflower seeds could be planted in the PC owned flower beds. Cllr Mrs S

082/21 The year end Receipts/Expenditure vs Budget figures had been circulated to councillors and were briefly discussed. –
083/21 Equipment and surfaces on playing field: table tennis table, tennis nets and posts, moss on tarmac areas: Chair has produced a drawing for an outdoor table tennis table to go on the old basketball hoop hard surface – it was agreed that Chair should price up this design. Clerk to get price for replacement tennis net and posts, price for jet-washing the surfaces. Also price for levelling out the surface under the children’s climbing frame which has dips in it. Chair/

076/21 Proposed new notice board at Pasturefields: the one door recycled plastic notice board can be purchased with a PC name header for an additional £65. A licence would be required from Highways for the installation as it is Highways land adjacent to the Highway. Agreed to go-ahead, Clerk to get price for installation. Clerk

032/20 Progress on proposed design for build out at T junction at Lea Heath: Design and feasibility study will be paid for by County Councillor/Highways, cost of work to be paid for by PC as long as affordable. –

 
046/21 Improving appearance of entrance to JBMI off New Road:  Joint project with JBMI and Plymouth Brethren: kerbs to go in. Planting work ca. £4-5K, one-third costs to PC/JBMI/Plymouth Brethren – Chair to agree costs with the other 2 parties, resolved to accept PC one-third costs. Chair
