Hixon Parish Council appoints external suppliers and contractors to carry out certain specialist activities. The current annual contracts are;

Weed killing – Flowerbed and planter maintenance – Trent Grounds Maintenance, Salt (2024 work).

Asset Maintenance work – Trent Grounds Maintenance, Salt (2024 work).

Minor Highways and Street Nameplate cleaning – Trent Grounds Maintenance, Salt (2023/2024 work).

Moving of the Speed Indication Device – Acer Garden Landscapes, Woodseaves (2024 work).

Insurance cover – 3 year Long Term Agreement with BHIB (Councils Insurance). Start date 1st June 2021.
