Planning applications

Hixon Parish Council has recently considered and responded to the following planning applications:

21/34042/FUL Retrospective upgrading of three existing agricultural accesses, land adjacent Rakestone, Stowe Lane, Hixon.

Hixon Parish Council, together with Stowe Parish Council, has objected to this application.  Both Parish Councils are of the view that the planning application is invalid insofar that no credible evidence has been submitted to substantiate the claim that all gateways at all three locations existed previously.

21/34033/LDC Lawful Development Certificate- Use of land for a mixed use as touring caravan site/camping site and as a caravan site for permanent residential occupation.  Land North of former Green Man Pub, Lea Road, Hixon.

Hixon Parish Council, together with Stowe Parish Council, has objected to this application.  Both Parish Councils are of the view that the conditions to issue a Lawful Development Certificate have not been met.  The objection also highlights the significant lengths of mature hedgerow (over 30 years old) and trees that have been ripped out across the surrounding area.
