Car theft attempts in Hixon and Great Haywood

Staffordshire Police have reported two keyless car thefts this morning (Saturday 3^rd December 2022) in Hixon and Great Haywood, where the offenders have accessed both vehicles by intercepting car fob signal.

Also, today just before 6am, there was an attempted theft of a BMW on High Street in Hixon. Two males have been seen and have managed to intercept the car fob signal and unlock the vehicle.

Tips to protect your vehicle from theft:

Place key fobs in faraday pouch or similar.
Consider the use of the steering lock.
Keep car keys out of reach and out of sight.
Keep doors and windows locked and secure.
Park your car in a well-lit area.
