Hixon Parish Council owns and is responsible for a number of areas of land throughout Hixon village. The Parish Council protects and maintains these areas for public use.
Some areas are recreational, such as the Church Lane Playing Fields and the Parish Council allotment site in Egg Lane. While others, such as in Ridgeway and Meadow Glade, are maintained as public open spaces. The car park opposite the Bank House is also owned by Hixon Parish Council.
Hixon Parish Council has built up a substantial portfolio of assets over the years.
